COMPUTER DATA PROTECTION SYSTEM BY COMPLETE DELETION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method having a data complete deleting function and capable of restoring the data after deletion, because measures against leakage, loss, or theft of security data such as personal information are important, and one of the measures is complete deletion or the like of overwriting another meaningless data in the same area as the original data in a storage medium, but the data cannot be restored by the complete deletion or the like when the deleted data is required later. SOLUTION: In the deletion of the data in the storage medium, the data are encrypted by a data deletion program, the encrypted data are overwritten on the data to be deleted in the storage medium, and the overwritten encrypted data are deleted. Both the encryption and overwriting, or only overwriting can be executed a plurality of times. It is possible that the encrypted data can be stored in the storage medium between the overwriting and deletion and is encrypted and restored by an encrypting program.
