METHOD OF CONSTRUCTING IMPERVIOUS WALL, AND METHOD OF PREVENTING LIQUEFACTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sufficient water stop measure in a construction method cutting a natural ground by a flexible cutting tool such as a wire saw and inserting steel plate and the like into a cut portion. SOLUTION: A guide pipe in which the flexible cutting tool such as the wire saw is inserted is installed along the periphery of a planned structure. The flexible cutting tool such as the wire saw is inserted over two adjacent guide pipes, thereby cutting the guide pipes and the natural ground between those. A water-stopping steel plate or sheet material formed with a joint at a side portion is inserted in a cut portion, and connected to the water-stopping steel plate or sheet material previously inserted using the joints in the guide pipe. The water-stopping steel plate or sheet material is installed along the periphery of the planned structure. In this construction method, the connecting portion of the joints in the guide pipe is filled with plastic material to stop water. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
