Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of sharply reducing the time until printing is completed. SOLUTION: A retrieval section, possessed by a CPU 10, retrieves new PDL data existing in a storage region over a network, and a first control section transfers it to an HDD 13 and stores the data. The PDL data stored in the HDD 13 is rasterized by a processing section based on predetermined printing conditions. A second control section stores the converted data in the HDD 13. When there is operation of a control panel 3 by user or printing instructions that are based on PCs 30, 40, a third control section prints the image data inside the HDD 13 by printing functions.
