Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller for an air-conditioning outdoor unit that prevents the smoking of an electrolytic capacitor. SOLUTION: The controller 4 is provided with a converter 8, a current detection means 44, switches 52, 84, and a microcomputer 5. The current detection means 44 detects a current flowing in an electrolytic capacitor 83 in the converter 8. The microcomputer 5 cuts off electrical connection between an AC power supply 7 and the electrolytic capacitor 83 while operating the switches 52, 84 when a current detected by the current detection means 44 exceeds a preset set current value.
