METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR NUCLEAR QUADRUPOLE RESONANCE TEST OF SAMPLE, AND PULSE SEQUENCE FOR EXCITING NUCLEAR QUADRUPOLE RESONANCE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for conducting a nuclear quadrupole resonance test of a sample including a quadrupole nuclear, and distinguishing a true nuclear quadrupole resonance response signal from a spurious signal obtained from the sample. SOLUTION: The method includes: a step for applying a pulse sequence including at least a first single pulse and a second single pulse to the sample, and exciting nuclear quadrupole resonance; and a step for detecting the response signal. In the exciting step, a magnetization generated by the first pulse is partially locked by the second pulse. A duration between the first and second pulses is shorter than a length of the second pulse. The length of the second pulse is shorter than a half of T1pof the quadrupole nuclear. The duration between the first and second pulses and the length of the second pulse are sufficient to partially attenuate the spurious signal before a step for detecting the spurious signal obtained from the first pulse.
