Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a caulking device and a caulking method for a nut, efficiently and surely achieving caulking deformation of a caulking part in simple constitution, and coupling a nut and a shaft member with satisfactory coupling strength. SOLUTION: This caulking device 40 includes: a support part 43 supporting a secondary shaft 13, which is provided with an engagement pin 44 engaged with a recessed hole 30 formed in the secondary shaft 13 at a fixed phase angle to a caulking recessed part 29; and a first punch 52 and a second punch 53 provided on the support part 43 for pushing a part of the nut 28 in the caulking recessed part 29. Thus, the secondary shaft 13 is supported on the support part 43 to thereby surely perform caulking work, yield can be improved, the caulking device can be simplified, and the coupling strength can be satisfactory.
