FASTENER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fastener capable of locking left and right side edge parts by utilizing magnetic force, being suitably used for flexible products such as clothes, and preventing improper opening even if receiving horizontal drawing force when left and right elements are locked further. SOLUTION: The fastener (1) is constituted so that a plurality of magnetic elements (3) are lined along the opposing element attaching edge parts (5) of a pair of fastener tapes (2) and the left and right opposing magnetic elements (3) are locked by utilizing the magnetic force. The fastener is composed by alternately locking the left and right opposing magnetic elements (3), and each magnetic element (3) comprises a head part (7) which is magnetic so that magnetic poles on the same side in the longitudinal direction of the fastener tapes (2) are the same poles when the left and right magnetic elements (3) are locked, a leg part (8) attached to the element attaching edge part (5), and engaging and disengaging parts (9 and 10) formed at the head part (7) to be engaged to and disengaged from each other.
