ON-VEHICLE EQUIPMENT, REMOTE OPERATION METHOD FOR ON-VEHICLE EQUIPMENT, AND CONTROL PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide on-vehicle equipment which can remotely be operated by using general portable electronic equipment capable of performing short-range wireless communication with other equipment, and a remote operation method for the on-vehicle equipment and a control program. SOLUTION: The on-vehicle equipment 1 which is connected through a short-range wireless communication network to the portable electronic equipment 3 having a plurality of numeric keys 30 to each of which one of mutually different numbers of 0 to 9 and one or a plurality of characters are assigned is equipped with a command receiving part 15 which receives a command comprising a data string representing the input order of numeric keys operated by a user from the portable electronic equipment 3, a table storage part 19 which stores a command table 20, and a control part 10 which controls the on-vehicle equipment 1 to perform an operation corresponding to operation contents that the command received by the command receiving part 15 indicates on the basis of the command table 20. The command, when described by arranging one of characters or a number assigned to a number key in the input order, is made a character string or a combination of a character string and a number string representing predetermined indicating operation contents.
