Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas bearing, with the occurrence of radial vibration suppressed in rotating a sample tube with a measuring sample placed therein, in an NMR apparatus equipped with a split-type magnet and a multi-axial bore. SOLUTION: This gas bearing for NMR is equipped with a spinner rotation mechanism for making a spinner mounted with the sample tube rotate circumferentially of the sample tube, by pressurized gas and radial bearings for supporting the spinner in a magnetic field space by thereto supplying a gas from radial direction of the sample tube. This gas bearing is equipped with the radial bearings, in at least one place for each of upper and lower sides of the spinner with its center of gravity position being interposed therebetween. Radial direction fluctuations of the sample tube are suppressed by the radial bearings, provided above and below the spinner, with the gravity center position interposed therebetween, and the sensitivity of the NMR apparatus is improved.
