IMAGE FORMING DEVICE AND SHEET CORRECTING DEVICE FOR THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively correct curl of a sheet, while surely avoiding malfunction to be caused by mechanical curl correction such as a travelling failure of the sheet, for example, a thin paper sheet and a damage to the sheet. SOLUTION: The image forming device is provided with at least a fixing device 1 for fixing an image G to the sheet 2 by using the heat and a sheet correcting device 3 provided downstream of the fixing device 1 in the sheet conveying direction so as to correct curl of the sheet 2. The sheet correcting device 3 is provided with a first dehumidification adjusting means 5 for adjusting dehumidifying speed from one surface of the sheet 2 fixed by the fixing device 1, a second dehumidification adjusting means 6 for adjusting dehumidifying speed from the other surface of the sheet 2 fixed by the fixing device 1, and a dehumidification control means 7 for controlling the dehumidifying speed M1and M2to be adjusted by the first and the second dehumidification adjusting means 5 and 6 to correct the curl 2c of the sheet 2 caused by the fixing device 1.
