Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device for a vehicle facilitating driving of the vehicle by suitably controlling turning behavior variation of the vehicle relative to steering wheel operation by a driver. SOLUTION: The maximum steering angle calculation part 41 calculates the maximum steering angle θmax(V) having exponentiation relation to a vehicle speed V. A displacement-torque conversion part 42 calculates steering torque Td using a steering angle θ and a torque-lateral acceleration conversion part 43 calculates expectation lateral acceleration Gd having exponentiation relation to steering torque Td. In this case, an exponent n of the vehicle speed V in a calculation part 41 is set to a value of inverse or less of an exponent K of the steering torque Td in the conversion part 43. Thereby, variation characteristic relative to variation of the vehicle speed V of a yaw rate gain Yg can be changed such that the driver can easily turn the vehicle. Thereby, increase of gain Yg can be effectively suppressed. Accordingly, turning behavior variation of the vehicle can be suitably controlled to facilitate driving of the vehicle.
