Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow an observation with multiple kinds of beams of light different in spectral characteristics while minimizing a radius of the insert part of an endoscope, and also to acquire multiple kinds of images allowing a reciprocal operation processing and superposed display without their modification for an improved observation precision. SOLUTION: An endoscopic system 1 comprises a light source part 4 to emit the multiple kinds of beams of irradiating light different in spectral characteristics that illuminate an object, an optical system 7 to diffuse beams of the irradiating light toward the object, an imaging means provided on a part to be inserted into a body cavity, capable of photographing multiple waveband ranges of fluorescences emitted from the object by the multiple kinds of beams of irradiating light and a light whose waveband range is different from those of the fluorescences, a variable spectral means provided in a light path between the imaging means and an end of the part to be inserted into a body cavity capable of varying the spectral characteristics for changing the waveband of the light incoming from the object to the imaging means, a control means 5 to control the light source part 4, variable spectral means, and imaging means so as to acquire images of the multiple waveband ranges of fluorescences and the light whose waveband range is different from those of the fluorescences at a position with time-sharing.
