PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless LAN explosion-proof repeater, an explosion-proof switching hub, an explosion-proof wireless communication means, a switching hub with an explosion-proof wireless communication means, and a communication system in a dangerous area which can safely and efficiently communicate a large amount of data through a wireless LAN between a vast dangerous area such as an oil factory and a petrochemical factory and a non-dangerous area, and which enable an improvement of a reliability of data communication and a reduction of a setting cost or the like. SOLUTION: A communication system 10 in a dangerous area is arranged so as to communicate with a wireless LAN explosion-proof repeater 1 having a wireless LAN access point 11 which connects with a transmitter/receiver by a wireless LAN, an explosion-proof switching hub 2 connected to the wireless LAN explosion-proof repeater 1 through an electric communication cable 27, and an explosion-proof wireless communication means 3 connected to the explosion-proof switching hub 2 through the electric communication cable 27, and a wireless LAN access point 51 of a measuring part 50 by the wireless LAN.
