Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame-retardant synthetic fiber and a flame-retardant fiber composite material suitable for a textile product to be used for bedding, furniture, etc., necessitating high flame-retardancy, by highly improving the carbonization property in combustion with an additive and provide upholstered furniture produced by using the fiber, etc. SOLUTION: The flame-retardant synthetic fiber comprises 100 pts.wt. of a polymer containing ≥17 wt.% halogen atom, 5-30 pts.wt. of cellulose acetate and 5-35 pts.wt. of a glassy substance, provided that the sum of the cellulose acetate and the glassy substance is 10-40 pts.wt.
