MANUFACTURE OF FIELD SYSTEM PORTION OF CYLINDRICAL LINEAR MOTOR AND FIELD SYSTEM PORTION MANUFACTURED BY THIS METHOD, AND CYLINDRICAL LINEAR MOTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of the field system portion of a cylindrical linear motor and the cylindrical linear motor field system portion, and a cylindrical linear motor, in which when a portion, between the members of a shaft provided with permanent magnets making up of the field system and a can, is coupled by a reinforcing ring, the joint portion of the reinforcing ring and the can can be fixed by a cost-effective and simple method, without using a welding method and effect by thermal deformation during the process can be suppressed. SOLUTION: The field system portion of the cylindrical linear motor is provided, with a plurality of permanent magnets 6 inserted and provided at the inner diameter side of the can 7 of a thin cylindrical shape, a shaft 8 inserted into the end of the row of the permanent magnets 6, and the reinforcing ring 10 press fitted between the can 7 and the shaft 8. In this field system portion, stepped corrugate groove portions 8a are provided at the end of the shaft 8. The reinforcing ring 10, press fitted onto the outside circumference of the stepped groove portions 8a of the shaft 8, is fitted into the inner diameter portion of the can 7 and fixed by caulking, which presses the wall of the can 7 into the inner diameter side of the reinforcing ring 10 to stop the rotation of the reinforcing ring 10.
