PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To assign a plurality of functions to one operation key, and to achieve a simple selecting operation, and to reduce the number of operation keys installed in equipment. SOLUTION: This input device is provided with a storage means for storing a plurality of selection items; a selection item switching means for switching a plurality of selection items based on an operation instruction signal; a switching signal input means for inputting an instruction signal for making the selection item switching means to successively perform switching in the ascending order or descending order direction; and a jump switching signal input means for inputting an instruction signal for making the selection item switching means to successively perform jump switching in the ascending order or descending order direction. This input device is provided with a means for storing data in the switching direction(ascending order or descending order direction) of the switching signal input from the switching signal input means and a control means for changing the jump switching direction of the switching signal input from the jump switching signal input means based on the data.
