Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a toner, with which a high-quality toner image is obtained, even by printing at a high temperature and high humidity environment (e.g., at 30°C and 80% RH). SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the toner, containing a binder resin and a black colorant and having a median diameter (D50) on volume basis of 3.0-8.0 μm, includes a step of dispersing the black colorant in a solution medium to which a compound represented by Formula (1) has been added, wherein M represents a metal element; R1-R16each denotes a water-soluble group or H, where at least one of R1-R16is a water-soluble group, and R1-R16may be the same or different.
