Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively inhibit propagation of legionella bacterium in a cooling tower. SOLUTION: The circulated water of a pH of 9.0 or more is supplied to a cooling load device 130 from a storing portion 143 through a supply passage 149. The circulated water after cooling the cooling load device 130 is brought into contact with the outside air passing from a louver 142 to an opening portion 141 by rotation of the fan 144 and cooled when it is sprinkled from a nozzle 152 of a recovering passage 151 to the storing portion 143. When a pH of the circulated water is a prescribed value or more over 9.0, the circulated water is partially released through a draining passage 160 on a timely basis, and the water is supplied from the water supply passage 123 to the storing portion 143 to dilute the circulated water.
