Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellent ride quality performance of a railroad vehicle by improving the bending rigidity of a body structure while suppressing an increase of the weight of the body structure as much as possible. SOLUTION: A strength plate 7 is affixed to an inner side of a roof body structure 1 in a center portion of the longitudinal direction of a railroad vehicle body structure 10 comprising the roof body structure 1, a side body structure 2, an underframe 3, and a gable body structure 4. A longitudinal affixing range of the railroad vehicle body structure 10 of the strength plate 7 is between two body bolsters 6, and the right-to-left affixing range of the roof body structure 1 is about one half of the length in the right-to-left direction of the roof body structure 1. The thickness of the strength plate 7 is increased as the vertical height of the roof body structure 1 is increased. In this structure, the deformation of the roof body structure 1 in the center portion of the longitudinal direction of the railroad vehicle body structure 10 causing a large deformation can be suppressed, and the bending rigidity of the railroad vehicle body structure 10 can be efficiently enhanced.
