Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein a deterioration in quality of an image due to a density variation occurs when printing is temporarily stopped by run-out of ink during an unmanned operation in the night in a multipass inkjet printer. SOLUTION: Pass-closing and pass-opening is carried out without making a paper conveyance amount to be zero, thereby preventing a density variation at a time when the printing is temporarily stopped in the way of the pass and a deterioration in the printing quality due to quasi multipass.
