Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reliable rotor for dynamo-electric machine which cools a rotor coil efficiently and equally and allows a large field current by providing a rotor coil outside a rotor core with a ventilating groove. SOLUTION: In the rotor for a dynamo-electric machine where a cylindrical rotor core 30 is provided with core slots at specified intervals, and a rotor coil 10 is stratified in the form of a multiple annulus, centering upon the magnetic pole of the above rotor, in each core slot, and the rotor coil is fixed to the above rotor core by an end ring, and a shim 20 is arranged between the above rotor coils in the circumferential direction of the above rotor, the shim 20 has a length equal to or larger than that of the straight part 12 of the above rotor coil 10, and it has a cut 22 for circulation of cooling gas in at least one flank of the above shim, and it contacts with the above rotor coils on both sides of the above shim in the diametrical innermost part of the above rotor or in other optional positions.
