Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a masking material for partial coating which is excellent in operability and avoids the problem that paint adheres to a position to be masked even if an object to be coated is deformed. SOLUTION: The masking material 20 for partial coating, which is installed at an end edge noncoating part 12, that is, a projection-like noncoating part which projects from the noncoating surface 15 of an object 10 to be coated, comprises a flexible elastic material and is provided with: a covering part 21 which covers the projection-side front end surface 12a of the end edge noncoating part 12; and oppositely rising grasping parts 22 and 23 which are formed integrally with the outer edge of the covering part 21 and have grasping inner side surfaces 22a and 23a which contact the outer-side surface 12b and end surface 12c of the end edge noncoating part 12 to grasp the end edge noncoating part 12.
