Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the risk of contacting an electrical path when performing connection work of taking a voltage, while carrying a portable monitoring device, as it is, measuring a leak current or power utilizing a voltage cable. SOLUTION: A sheet magnet 25 and detection switches 14a, 14b are provided on a back surface of a housing case 24 and a noncontact proximity switch is provided on the front surface. After the monitoring device has been installed on a board or the like, a power supply circuit of the monitoring device is not formed, when it separates from the monitoring device to attain safety.
