CERAMIC FOR DECORATION COMPONENTS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solution for a problem wherein oxidation or the like progresses and strength and a decorating property are liable to decrease in long-term use when used for ceramics for decoration components and to especially solve a problem wherein the ceramics cannot be used over a long period since muddy water resistance is low as a guide member for a fishline. SOLUTION: The ceramic for a decoration component comprises titanium nitride as a main component and, zirconia and nickel and composed of a hard phase wherein at least one part of zirconia crystals consisting of zirconia are dispersed in a titanium nitride crystal consisting of titanium nitride and a binding phase consisting essentially of the nickel and binding the hard phase.
