Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for determining the stability of a power system which can materialize an appropriate countermeasure for stabilization even if the state of the target system changes greatly in a short while. SOLUTION: A power circuit stabilizing system is equipped with a circuit severity determining device 100 which is equipped with a severity index-value computing means 104 using on-line data related to the state of an electric system, and a circuit monitoring system 110 which changes the facility within the circuit against the fault of the circuit, based on the instruction. The circuit severity determining device 100 performs the state simulation of the electric circuit, for a short while (for example, a second) after occurrence of a fault. From the results, it gets a first index-value Ke being the maximum value of increasing rate based on the state before occurrence of the fault of the kinetic energy of a generator, and a second index-value KE being the maximum value of an integral value of the increasing rate. It selects the assumed fault of an unstable electric circuit, using these index-values, and gets the severity of the circuits and ranks them. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
