IMAGE INTERPOLATION METHOD AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image interpolation method with high fidelity for an image around an edge of an imaged object. SOLUTION: A function resulting from multiplying a convex window function in which a maximum width of a window width is 1 by a Sinc function in which zero points are located at a sampling interval of image data is convoluted with the image data to thereby interpolate an image. The window width of the window function can be changed by parameters. The window function Window(x) is expressed as an expression of Window(x)=(Cos[παx])/(1-4[αx]2), wherein α is the parameter.
