LASER POWER CONTROL SYSTEM FOR RECORDING OF OPTICAL DISK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve recording quality for an optical disk by laser by controlling appropriately gain of a drive part driving light emission of laser even before initial recording or during recording. SOLUTION: The laser power control system for optical disk recording is provided with an error generating part 5 generating output value error by comparing a detected value detected from an optical disk with a target value, a correction value supply part 6 supplying a correction value for correcting the output value error, an adding part 7 outputting a sum value obtained by adding the correction value to the output value error, a sum value holding part 8 holding the sum value, and a drive part 9 driving a light emitting part outputting laser beam irradiated to the optical disk based on the sum value supplied from the sum value holding part. Further, the system is provided with an optimum value setting part holding a plurality of different combinations in which a plurality of output errors having different values, the correction value, and the sum value are combined, while outputting the correction value of combination in which the sum value becomes an optimum power value to the optimum value supply part.
