Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for cutting off remaining yarn, which is capable of reducing such remaining yarns left at a base of a spindle and also capable of reducing miscutting the yarn, compared with conventional one. SOLUTION: The method comprises the following procedure: in halting a doffing operation, a ring rail 17 is stopped at a position corresponding to an abutment part between a remaining yarn cutting member 28 and a spindle base 24b, and a spindle 11 is halted at a position below the abutment part with a yarn Y wound thereon. In this state, a bobbin 38 is pulled up by the bobbin holder 36a of a doffer, and simultaneously, the ring rail 17 is raised. The remaining yarn cutting member 28 is raised together with the bobbin 38 to a point midway of pulling up the bobbin 38, and the yarn Y lead to a traveler T from the bobbin 38 is guided in between the remaining yarn cutting member 28 and the spindle base 24b. Thereafter, the yarn Y is gripped between the remaining yarn cutting member 28 separated from the bobbin 38 and the spindle base 24b, and the yarn Y is cut off by a cutter part 30.
