Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide cellulose ester film excellent in planar appearance and mechanical strength and suppressed in discoloration. SOLUTION: Cellulose ester pellets are provided, being such as to be obtained by melting at 180-240°C a mixture comprising a first cellulose ester and a second cellulose ester; wherein the first cellulose ester and the second cellulose ester have a specific substitution degree each and a weight-average molecular weight of 50,000-250,000 each, the weight-average molecular weight difference between the first cellulose ester and the second cellulose ester is 100,000-200,000, and the weight-average molecular weight of the cellulose ester mixture is 90,000-160,000.
