METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PRESS WORK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently carry out a plurality of times of press work for a plate material in a short working time. SOLUTION: An apparatus 10 for press work carries out the first time of the press work for a steel plate 12 by approaching an upper die 38 to a lower die 52 by the operation of a servomotor 24. Then, a slider 32 is lifted to the preparatory position of a movable punch. The movable punch 90 is projected from the die surface 38a of the upper die 38 by a width H, and is locked by means of a mechanical lock 94. Then, the second time of the press work is carried out by approaching the upper die 38 to the lower die 52 again, and by pushing the steel plate 12 by means of the upper die 38, and also by pushing and deforming an additional working portion 12a by means of the movable punch 90.
