SIGNAL TRANSMISSION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal transmission system wherein sheet-like signal transmission apparatuses are combined. SOLUTION: Each of first and second signal transmission apparatuses 101 includes a mesh-like first conductor unit 111 and sheet-like second conductor units 121, and a signal is transmitted by changing an electromagnetic field in a space region 131 and an extended region 141. The first conductor unit 111 of the first signal transmission apparatus 101 and the first conductor unit 111 of the second signal transmission apparatus 101 are opposed to each other and the extended regions 141 of the both are overlapped so that the signal can be transmitted between a communication apparatus coupled to the first signal transmission apparatus 101 and a communication apparatus coupled to the second signal transmission apparatus 101, and a distance between the first conductor unit 111 and the second conductor units 121 is sufficiently shorter than the electromagnetic wavelength associated with the electromagnetic field.
