Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an electronic information display device with which a user can easily and surely read a position on a level of a hierarchy of a menu directly at a glance on a menu screen display. SOLUTION: The electronic information display system displays a plurality of menu items segmented with a hierarchy on a screen. In performing a predetermined operation corresponding to a designated or decided menu item in response to an operation for designating and deciding a specific item from among the displayed menu items, the system lists and displays levels higher than the level corresponding to at least the menu item displayed in the hierarchy, together with the menu item presently displayed, using the menu hierarchy display means.
