SOLUTION: This invention provides a printer driver equipped with a printer information obtaining part which searches for printers on a network, and communicates with the printers on the network to obtain printer properties information from the printers and a user interface which presents in a single view the printer properties information obtained from the printers for selection by the user of one of those printers.
