Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mold a high quality optical element having improved durability and sliding property. SOLUTION: An adjustment tool 1 for molding the optical element which is used in the manufacture of the optical element G having a prescribed shape by inserting a softened glass stock between a pair of molds 2, is formed from one of a tungsten alloy, a chromium alloy, a nickel alloy, aluminum, steel and stainless steel and comprises a base material 3 for adjusting the heat capacity of a pair of the molds 2 by being in contact with a pair of the molds and a thin film 4 applied on the base material 3, comprising one of oxides, nitride and oxynitride of a mixture of Al with one of element of Cr and Ti and having heat resistance and wear resistance.
