TENSION CONTROL METHOD OF CONTINUOUS ROLLING MILL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tension control method of a continuous rolling mill capable of rolling a work to be rolled in a tension-less manner by a motor of the rolling mill by combining a variable-speed motor with a fixed-speed motor, and considerably inexpensive compared with an expensive control system by a conventional technology. SOLUTION: In a tension control method for rolling a work in a tension-less manner between at least first and second universal rolling mills, a motor of a master rolling mill 2 is a fixed-speed motor 5, and a motor of a slave rolling mill 1 is a fixed-speed motor 4. The speed of the slave rolling mill 1 is determined taking into consideration the torque fluctuation of the slave rolling mill 1 and the speed fluctuation of the master rolling mill 2.
