THROWAWAY DIAPER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a throwaway diaper which keeps the width of an absorbent body in the crotch portion greater than the width of an exterior in the crotch portion, the insertability of legs into leg openings high, and the fittedness of the crotch portion high. SOLUTION: The throwaway diaper has an absorbent body 5 having a surface sheet 2, a rear sheet 3 and an absorber 4 interposed between the sheets 2 and 3, a sheath 10 joined to the non skin-contacting side of the absorber body 5 by a body joining portion 13. The throwaway diaper 1 has an abdomen side portion, a crotch portion and a back side portion in the longitudinal direction. The absorber 4 takes the form of a near hourglass with the longitudinal direction centers of both edges inwardly constricted. Both sides of the rear sheet 3 are folded back laterally inward and joined to the skin butting side of the surface sheet 2 at least in the vicinity of the longitudinal both ends, the inside edges 32 of the folded rear sheet 3 curve outward breadthways in the crotch portion, and side elastic members 61 are curvedly arranged along the inside edges 32 of the curved rear sheet 3.
