Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial knuckle substituted for a damaged knuckle, which is smoothly bent by the movement specific to a patient while being moved similarly to a knuckle of a living body. SOLUTION: This artificial knuckle is constituted of a metacarpal member 2 formed with a head 6 at the tip of a stem 5 to be inserted into the metacarpal 1, and a proximal phalanx member 4 formed with a socket 9 vertically turnably receiving the head at the tip of the stem 8 to be inserted into the proximal phalanx, wherein the socket is formed into a weak semicylindrical body opened on the head side, is formed with a vertically penetrating window 7 in the rear part of the head, and the upper/lower parts of the socket are formed with corners 10 extending along the outer circumference of the head, when being bent, inserted into the window and gradually reducing a clearance toward the window and becoming zero, as further increasingly bending.
