WHITE BALANCE CORRECTING METHOD AND DEVICE THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a white balance correcting method capable of easily correcting white balance in response to the request of a viewer by mounting sensors of the respective color lights of R, G, B on a remote operation unit (hereinafter called as a remote controller), so as to correct the white balance which is viewed from the viewer at the position of the viewer having the remote controller, and to provide a correcting device. SOLUTION: A display device displays white light as a reference. The luminance of each color R, G, B is detected by the optical sensor of each color R, G, B mounted on the remote controller. The white balance is calculated based on the detected luminance of each color R, G, B. The white balance of the display device is corrected with the use of a difference from a white balance value which is predetermined as an initial value. A laser pointer is mounted on the remote controller in order to allow the viewer to correctly obtain a correction place, so as to indicate the place to detect the luminance of R, G, B on the display device.
