Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change the number of battery modules to be housed in a holder case reduced in weight and made more compact. SOLUTION: In the power supply unit of a vehicle, a plurality of battery modules 1 are stored in a holder case 2 in a parallel posture with each other in a plurality of rows and columns, with more columns than rows. The holder case 2 consists of a plurality of unit cases 3 separated in a column direction of the battery modules 1. The unit cases 3 are of box shapes with one side open, each provided with side walls 5 and an end-part wall 6 on a periphery of a separation wall 4 fitted between columns of adjacent battery modules 1. Support walls 7 parallel with the end part walls 6 are provided inside, the battery modules 1 are stored to penetrate the support wall 7, the modules 1 are stored in a plurality of rows in one column. The power supply unit couples the plurality of unit cases 3 in a column direction so as to position the partition walls 4 between the columns of the battery modules 1 to make up the holder case 2.
