Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quality planar light source which shows less decrease in luminance, even if the position relative to a display panel is shifted. SOLUTION: A prism light guide plate 3 includes a prism surface 3a having a plurality of prisms P reflecting incident light from an incident light end 3c, and an emission surface 3b facing the prism surface 3a and totally reflecting and letting the incident light propagate and allowing the light reflected on each prism P to be emitted from the emission surface 3b. The emission surface 3b, from which the emission light is emitted at high density, is provided with diffusers 30 that diffuse the emission light and widen the viewing angle of light.
