Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner capable of attaining appropriate abrasivity of an amorphous silicon photoreceptor and superior images without requiring replacement of the photoreceptor before the machine life, by defining the friction coefficient between the photoreceptor and the toner. SOLUTION: The toner is to be used in an image forming apparatus which uses an amorphous silicon photoreceptor as a latent image carrier and is equipped with a cleaning blade for removing the toner remaining on the photoreceptor after a transfer step. The toner shows a friction coefficient with the photoreceptor in a range of 0.3 to 0.6. Inorganic fine particles such as titanium oxide are externally added to the toner, wherein the number average primary particle size of the inorganic fine particles is 30 nm or more. The toner contains toner fine powder having a particle size of 1/4 or less of the volume average particle size, by 30% or less on a number basis. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
