JOINT STRUCTURE FOR MEMBER WITH H-SHAPED CROSS SECTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint structure for a member with an H-shaped cross section by which the designability is improved by making a web splice member invisible from the outside and flexural capacity of the joint part is improved. SOLUTION: The joint structure is to interjoin hollow members 1, 1 with the H-shaped cross section in an abutting state, of which each of the hollow members 1, 1 having a vertically long hollow part 1e comprises an upper flange 1a, a lower flange 1b, and two webs 1c, 1d which are spaced to connect the upper and lower flanges 1a, 1b. The right half of a joint member 2 having a cross section which is substantially matched with the shape of the hollow part 1e is inserted into the hollow part 1e of the hollow member 1 with the H-shaped cross section on one side, and the left half of the joint member 2 is inserted into the hollow part 1e of the hollow member 1 with the H-shaped cross section on the other side. In each of the right and left halves, fastening is conducted by one or a plurality of bolts 3 etc. penetrating from the outer face of the hollow member 1 with the H-shaped cross section through the two webs 1c, 1d and the joint member 2, and by nuts 4 etc. screwed to the bolts 3 etc. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
