Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator device with a compact constitution of equipment such as a winding-up machine and accomplishing space-saving of a hoistway. SOLUTION: In the elevator device, a car 1 hung by a rope 5 in the hoistway and a balance weight 2 are driven by the winding-up machine 11. The elevator device is provided with a sash hanger 8 provided on an upper part of the car 1; a rope-stop 3 provided on the car 1; a sash hanger 13 provided on an upper part of the balance weight 2; and a rope-stop 15 provided on the upper part of the balance weight 2.
