PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of reducing trouble of issuing a plurality of instructions from a processor when producing a plurality of duplications for data of a storage volume by a storage device, and capable of ensuring data consistency in a plurality of related storage volumes at that time. SOLUTION: A single duplication instruction including a plurality of pieces of designation information about data of a logical volume (LU) as a copy source and about a copy destination of the data is issued from a duplication management program 46 of the processor 4. A controller 5 of the storage device 1 has a multiple duplication production program 20 allowing processing for producing the duplication while ensuring the data consistency when access of update or reference occurs, as for a group including a plurality of pairs each comprising a copy source volume M and a copy destination volume R based on receipt of the instruction. The storage device is provided with a saving volume S, and a data saving/updating state is identified/managed in a shared memory 9 by copy source saving information 22 and copy destination update information 23.
