OBJECT SELECTOR OF DATA BROADCAST

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an object selector by which all the data broadcast contents are selected only by operating a single kind of cursor keys mounted on a remote controller. SOLUTION: Object information is extracted from a script of the data broadcast contents, an arrangement position of an object on a display screen is specified from the extracted object information to create object arrangement information. A transition path of a focus is determined based on the specified object arrangement information. A remote control command corresponding to the transition path of the focus is created based on the transition path of the focus and the object information. When a cursor signal transmitted from a remote controller is input, the focus is transited along the transition path of the focus based on focus position information representing the current position of the focus and the remote control command set.
