Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing titanium oxide which can be easily processed into fine particles and has high photocatalyst activity by irradiation with visible rays without especialy using an expensive device. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing titanium oxide precursor includes a mixing and reaction step to mix/react an acidic aqueous solution of a titanium compound with a base to prepare titanium oxide precursor slurry, a step of filtering the reaction product obtained by the mixing and reaction step, a step of drying the filtration residue obtained by the filtration step, and a step of firing the filtration residue. The firing step is carried out by preparing the filtration residue of a layer height of 5 mm or less at 310 to 500°C. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
