PLATING METHOD AND DEVICE FOR LONG SHEET

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plating device for a long sheet, in which uniformization of the current density of a work and increase of the current density can be attained, a plating tank can be made long so as to be one tank and no wrinkle is formed on the work, even when the plating tank is made extremely long. SOLUTION: Treatment tanks such as a pretreatment tank, the plating tank and a posttreatment tank are arranged between a work feeding apparatus and a work coiling apparatus. A carrying apparatus which is composed of many clampers 17 and 17 and carries the work while holding the upper end of the work and feeding power is provided at the upper parts of the treatment tanks, and the carrying rate of the work by the carrying apparatus and the carrying rate of the work by the work coiling apparatus 2 are synchronized with each other. A leak prevention device comprising a pair of seal rollers 6 and 6 is provided at a work outlet of the plating tank 4, and the seal rollers 6 and 6 are slightly tilted against the perpendicular direction in a plane parallel to the work plane so that upper ends of the work rollers 6 and 6 become nearer to the front in the traveling direction of the work.
