VEHICLE CONTROLLER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle controller properly carrying out control of a vehicle in case of no supply of information from a navigation device, or even in case of abnormal information supplied. SOLUTION: The vehicle controller controls the vehicle receiving supply of information from a navigation device. It has a constant vehicle speed setting means for setting a first target vehicle speed being a target vehicle speed of constant speed traveling, a vehicle speed operating means for receiving input from a driver and indicating change of the first target vehicle speed, a navigation coordinated vehicle speed setting means for setting a second target vehicle speed being a target vehicle speed with respect to a predetermined target point in response to forward road conditions of the vehicle supplied from the navigation device, and an arbitration means for using either one of the first or second target vehicle speed as a true target vehicle speed. It is characterized by that if the information from the navigation device is abnormal, adoption of the first and second target vehicle speeds is canceled, and if anomaly of the information is continuing, adoption of only the first target vehicle speed can be carried out in response to input to the vehicle speed operating means.
