Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst particle for manufacturing a carbon nanocoil, which is used for growing the carbon nanocoil in high yield for a short time to manufacture the carbon nanocoil more easily even when a vapor-phase synthesis method is used, and to provide a method for manufacturing the catalyst particle for manufacturing the carbon nanocoil and a method for manufacturing the carbon nanocoil. SOLUTION: As the catalyst particle for manufacturing the carbon nanocoil having ≤1,000 nm outside diameter by a chemical vapor deposition process, the catalyst particle composed of a primary or secondary particle of SnO2and a primary or secondary particle of a transition metal or a primary or secondary particle of an oxide of the transition metal, each of which is stuck to the central part and its periphery of the primary or secondary particle of SnO2, is used.
