TERMINAL CRIMPING METHOD OF ALUMINUM WIRE, AND ALUMINUM WIRE WITH TERMINAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal crimping method of an aluminum wire capable of keeping conductivity, and of sufficiently ensuring mechanical (strong) connection. SOLUTION: The cross-sectional shape of a conductor end 7 exposed by peeling an insulating material 3 at one end of an aluminum wire 1 and formed of multiple strands 2 made of aluminum or an aluminum alloy is preliminarily formed to set it nearly equal to the cross-sectional surface shape of a terminal 4 after crimping and plastic deformation thereof. Next, an extensible metallic material 11 is attached to the conductor end 7 after the preliminary formation. The terminal 4 is crimped and held to the conductor end 7 by plastically deforming it.
